Niseko · 13-18 Jul
Five prepaid nights at Chatrium. Outdoor adventure, local villages, proper hikes when the mountain opens, and a different onsen each day.
Family trip sheet
July 2-30, 2026. Choose the shape of each day together, then use the activity view to understand every option before deciding.
Shared family plan · updated 14 July
Each day offers a few realistic bundles—not an overwhelming wish list. Pick one and the wake-up time, driving, onsen and what you give up are visible before you commit.
Right now: Chatrium Niseko is booked through Saturday morning. Furano/Biei lodging for 18-20 July is still urgent. K's House Asahidake is booked 20-24 July.
Booked transport and beds are fixed. Outdoor plans remain weather-flex until the morning check.
This is the same activity set used by the day plans. Filter by geographic cluster, then mark what matters; the preference travels with the shared link.
The spine is fixed around paid stays and flights; daily choices flex inside it.
Five prepaid nights at Chatrium. Outdoor adventure, local villages, proper hikes when the mountain opens, and a different onsen each day.
Two open nights across Marine Day. Lavender, melon, rolling farm roads, Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls. Book now.
K's House is booked. Use three flex days for one design day and two possible mountain days, assigned by live weather.
TeamLab, friends, design, a children-led day and the Sumida River fireworks on Saturday evening, then Narita for the flight home.
The page will keep this panel focused on the next fixed trip event based on the date and time.
Call Toyota first. For JAF roadside help, give the car type, plate, exact location, problem, and loaned-card membership number.
JAF provides basic roadside service. Tire repair or replacement, parts, fuel, ditch recovery, and excess towing can still be chargeable.
Booked: Toyota compensation coverage waives the JPY 50,000 property and vehicle deductibles. For an eligible accident, ToCoo T.A.S. covers N.O.C. and accident-related towing up to JPY 100,000.
Toyota's base sheet lists N.O.C. at JPY 20,000 if the car returns under its own power or JPY 50,000 if it does not; our T.A.S. is the separate protection for that charge.
Go to the police station shown on the ticket, complete the procedure, pay the fine, and bring the police documents plus payment receipt to Toyota at return.
If this is not completed before return, Toyota lists an additional JPY 25,000 charge for an ordinary vehicle, or JPY 30,000 for larger classes.

Chatrium Niseko is booked and paid Jul 13-18; K's House is booked Jul 20-24. Only Furano/Biei Jul 18-20 remains open. Jul 18 is the Hill of the Buddha transfer; Otaru and Kamui are removed to avoid the backtrack.

After today's Nakajima Island loop, drive from Lake Toya to Niseko/Hirafu for Jul 13-18. On Jul 18 stop at Hill of the Buddha en route to Furano/Biei for two nights, then use the booked K's House stay Jul 20-24 for repeated Asahidake chances.
Niseko preserves real mountain days while adding rafting, adventure, indoor climbing, and onsen when wet.
Five Niseko nights let weather choose among mountains, rafting and indoor options; Furano/Biei then gets its own activity-led two-day block.
Chatrium Niseko Jul 13-18 and K's House Jul 20-24 are secured. Confirm only Furano/Biei Jul 18-20.
Rafting, adventure, onsen, Annupuri/Iwaonupuri/Chisenupuri if conditions allow.
Early Niseko departure, one architecture-landscape stop, then continue north without the Otaru/Kamui backtrack.
Farm Tomita early, Biei countryside, Blue Pond/Shirahige and one farm or melon stop; lodging still open.
Booked for JPY 151,200; four ropeway/Sugatami chances, then early CTS departure.
This is a schematic planning map, not navigation. Tap a base to highlight the activity menu, then open the exact Google Maps links below.
Five nights and four full days for rafting, adventure and local mountain days; weather selects the activity, not the base.
Hotel Hanabi is complete today. Do the official 7.6 km Nakajima Island loop if the Forest Museum confirms the full trail and the return boat timing; allow more than the official three hours with children and wet ground. Skip the Usu ropeway while the summit is hidden, then drive to Niseko in daylight.
Confirm the trail gate and last practical return boat before setting out. If timing is tight, take the shorter marked route rather than rushing the 7.6 km circuit.
Jul 18-20 Furano/Biei lodging is being booked. K's House is booked Jul 20-24 for JPY 151,200 in the mountain-view Japanese quadruple room with private bathroom.
Use only if the live camera, ropeway, mountain forecast, and visitor center agree that conditions are safe that morning. The family baseline is the ropeway/Sugatami loop, not a summit.
Heavy rain, poor visibility, and recent higher-trail bear reports make this a no-plan for now. Reconsider only after a clear day-of go from the visitor center and with proper equipment.
Tokachidake is at volcanic alert Level 2 with mountain-access restrictions, so it is not the Asahidake fallback. Tokachidake Onsen and Fukiage Onsen may remain roadside options if official access stays open.
Choose one flower site: Farm Tomita early for 60-90 minutes, then prioritize Biei countryside or cycling, Blue Pond plus Shirahige Falls, and one farm or melon stop. Skip Shikisai if Tomita is done.
Booked direct for JPY 150,480: air-conditioned 81 m² two-bedroom suite with one king, two twins, two bathrooms and kitchenette. Check-in from 15:00; checkout by 10:00. The prepaid stay is non-refundable. Let each morning's weather select rafting, adventure, mountain hiking, indoor climbing or onsen.
Likely the first activity to pre-book once lodging dates are fixed. Verify exact age/height/weight rules before paying.
Filipa is 120 cm, which likely clears many thresholds, but checkout rules decide. Good contrast after hiking days.
Annupuri from Goshiki Onsen is the 4-5h anchor; Iwaonupuri is the shorter volcanic option. Yotei only to stations 4-6, never the summit. Morning-of go/no-go.
The Hotel Hanabi stay ends Jul 13. Today's low ceiling makes Nakajima Island the better Toya closeout than the Usu ropeway; then use the full Niseko base for Niseko-led activities.
Leave Niseko early, make Hill of the Buddha the one deliberate architecture-landscape stop, then continue to the Furano/Biei lodging. This keeps the day long but coherent and removes the Otaru/Shakotan backtrack.
Keep the visit focused so the family still reaches Furano/Biei with daylight and energy for dinner/check-in.
The coast remains attractive, but it loses against four full Niseko days and a proper Furano/Biei block once the drive and backtrack are counted.
Do not add Moerenuma, shopping or a second city stop. The value is the Hill itself and arriving north without turning the transfer into an exhausting itinerary.
Hokkaido is not Kyoto. Keep culture/design high quality and opportunistic rather than making the route serve weak attractions.
This is the one Sapporo-side architecture-landscape stop on the Niseko to Furano/Biei transfer. Do not add Moerenuma on the same day.
Use a low-cloud day for Kita no Sumai Sekkeisha and Asahikawa Design Center (closed Tuesdays). Time & Style has a Higashikawa factory, not an Asahikawa flagship; arrange a direct visit for Jul 22 or 23.
July is Habu jellyfish season. Prefer managed netted beaches for easy family swimming; for unnetted snorkeling use long-sleeve rash guards, full swim leggings/tights, and reef shoes. Buy white vinegar for the car kit and follow local/lifeguard first-aid guidance. Early jet-lag wakeups can become cool sunrise walks on the Sesoko coast.
Use for low-friction beach time. Sesoko Beach is the easiest sanctuary if the managed swimming area, lifeguards, and jellyfish net are operating.
Strong family anchor near Motobu. Keep Churaumi for peak heat hours or rain; pair with Ocean Expo Park, Emerald Beach, or Bise if energy allows.
Good half-day from Sesoko/Motobu: castle ruins plus Kouri Bridge and Kouri Island. Keep it relaxed rather than packing the day too tightly.
Keep this as a planned-energy day. Minna Island is the premium short-hop option from Toguchi Port; Gorilla Chop is the shore-snorkel candidate with facilities. Check weather, ferry/boat times, and child-friendly snorkeling conditions before committing.
Use when the family wants a break from salt water. Hiji is the classic boardwalk waterfall walk; ASMUI/Daisekirinzan is the sacred-rock and banyan-tree option near Cape Hedo; Gesashi is the calm mangrove boardwalk/kayak option.
Use when beach or boat conditions are poor, or when the day needs an easier structured stop.
Best as a single bigger outing, not stacked with aquarium or boat plans. Keep a weather and tiredness veto; the goal is contrast from beaches, not a forced checklist.
Hokkaido now ends Jul 24 at Haneda. Tokyo/Kanto has Jul 24 evening plus five full days before the Jul 30 Narita return.
CTS → Haneda is booked. AIRDO ADO 020 / HD20, Jul 24 12:20 → 14:00, booking EMEHVA. Seat assignment still needs a check because only Sofia 25B appears in the confirmation email.
Hotel Hanabi is complete; Chatrium Niseko Jul 13-18, K's House Jul 20-24 and the car are booked. Only Furano/Biei Jul 18-20 remains open.
